Rules and Regulations
- IMPAQ is used as the curriculum provider, their syllabus and timetables will be used, which is CAPS aligned.

- We are not a Private School, we are a Tutor Centre for Home School learners. We do not fall under the Department of Education. We are Tutors not Teachers.
- The day starts strictly at 08:00am until 14:00pm, the learners have 2 breaks both 30 minutes long. Learners may be dropped off between 07:00am and 07:50am, classes start at 08:00am and should not be interrupted by late comers.
- If the learner is late or will not be able to attend, please inform us as soon as possible.
- There will be no classes on a Public Holiday or on Weekends.
- The Centre will, as far as possible, follow Public school term holidays.
- Toys will not be permitted in classrooms, as this is the time to focus on the syllabus.
- Learners must bring their own stationery (pens, pencils, exam pads etc.)
- Learners are welcome to bring food / snacks for break times. Only water will be allowed during class times.
- No cell phones are allowed in classes except when needed for online classes.
- PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL LEARNERS GR 7 TO 12 DO HAVE A DEVICE (LAPTOP or TABLET) AND EARPHONES. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
- If classes with Lighthouse Learning are terminated, Lighthouse Learning must be notified in writing, 1 month (30 days) beforehand. (1 Month’s tutor fees still payable on termination of contract).
- Neither Lighthouse Learning nor the property owners nor the Tutors will be held liable or responsible for any loss, injury, or damage. With this contract the parent gives full authority to the tutors to transport the learner in need of medical emergency, either to a doctor or hospital. The account of medical procedure will be for the parents’ account.
